On Sunday, it was Mother's Day. I was treated to a lie in, some flowers and some lovely presents. My family even surprised me by giving me a card with pictures of Thomas playing in my old my pedal car in. I did not even know that we still had it!
On Monday, we went to baby signing and then played in the Kiddicare cafe play area. Here is Thomas looking quite serious in the mirror there.
On Tuesday, we came back from work/nursery and read books. We will all really tired
On Wednesday, we practiced getting ready for Easter by trying on our bunny ears
On Thursday, we had a fun trike ride back from nursery looking at all the cars and other vehicles on the way
On Friday, I went to Purnell's Bistro for lunch and had a cocktail called 'Lamb Provençal' which was basically a roast dinner in a glass. It was strange but deliciously yummy too. The meal that followed was excellent, especially the apple crumble pudding!
Tonight, I made us a hot and spicy curry to try and get rid of our colds!
On Sunday, we went to the canal in Rowley Regis and fed the ducks and the geese. We taught Thomas how to throw bread and feed the ducks. We had a fantastic time and really enjoyed being outside as a family
On Monday, Thomas and I did not feel so good so we spent the day at home. Thomas thought it would be fun to put the Lego box on his head
On Tuesday, Thomas was feeling tired after nursery so we had cuddles on the sofa
On Wednesday, after another tiring nursery and work, Thomas played with his favourite toy, Scout
On Thursday, it was World Book Day and Thomas went to nursery dressed as a lion. One of the characters in his favourite book 'How Big Is My Bear'. He looked super cute in his fancy dress
On Friday, Thomas found another box to put on his head!
Today, the lion costume came out again as Thomas was invited to a 3rd birthday fancy dress party. At the party he decorated a crown so he became 'King of the jungle'
On Sunday, we went and visited my Nan in Bewdley, Worcestershire. Thomas and my dad played football, then we went for a walk and came back for a lovely Sunday lunch.
On Monday, we all went to a review lunch at Fleet Street Kitchen in Birmingham. Here is the steak my lucky husband had!
On Tuesday, Thomas came home from nursery and played with his daddy. Here is is, giving Stuart a drink from a plastic jug
On Wednesday, a very nosey pigeon came up to my office window at work
On Friday, my sister and I went shopping in the Bullring. Thomas started getting bored in the pushchair so I let him walk round a bit. Here he is in Selfridges 'shopping'!!
Today, we went to the pub for my dad for a bit. As it was a nice day, Thomas and my dad played football in the beer garden. Here they are celebrating a goal!! 🙂
On Sunday, we visited family and I made us a gorgeous roast chicken Sunday lunch.
On Monday, we went swimming and afterwards Thomas came home and chilled out with some chocolate milk.
On Tuesday, I went to work then came home and made vegetable soup.
On Wednesday, I got a free doughnut from my favourite sandwich shop at work 🙂
On Thursday, Thomas tried a monkey costume borrowed from a friend on, to see if it would fit for a fancy dress day at nursery soon. I think it is a bit big for him this year but he will hopefully be able to wear it next year.
On Friday, after our trip to the nature centre I let Thomas play with play dough at home for the first time. I think we need to get a few more things to help him play with it more (rolling pin, cutters etc) but he had a great time.
Today, we went and visited Thomas' cousins and they were playing with something called 'Wammys'. Thomas enjoyed having a hat made for him and liked to model it for us
On Sunday, Thomas tried to feed himself yoghurt. He is still getting it everywhere but more spoonfuls are now generally heading in the right direction!
On Monday, we went shopping and I got Thomas some play fruit and vegetables. When we got home, Thomas enjoyed sorting it and putting it in his shopping basket
On Tuesday, I made us Chicken Noodle Soup after a busy day at work
On Wednesday, Thomas had a day with Daddy as the nursery was closed for training. When I got home from work, I got lots of cuddles
On Thursday, I went to Selfridges in the Bullring, Birmingham and reviewed The Gallery restaurant. It was all delicious especially the pudding!!!
On Friday, we went to my Grandad's 80th birthday party. Thomas enjoyed seeing everyone and had a great time
Today, we have had a relaxing day and Thomas has played with a balloon from the party last night
I am very late with this post as Stuart and I had a night away on our own in an hotel in Oxfordshire last night. Mobile phone signal was poor and the hotel wi fi was very expensive so I could hardly do anything online while we were there.
On Sunday, we had a relaxing day visiting family and friends. I started the day off a with a cup of coffee in my mug above.
On Monday, Thomas and I went shopping as he some new walking shoes. He enjoyed being in the shoe shop and started trying to move all the shoes around.
On Tuesday, Thomas came home from nursery and we watched the film Cars.
On Wednesday, I made us homemade pizzas for dinner.
On Thursday, I got given some toys for Thomas from a friend at work. Thomas was very impressed with his new fire engine.
On Friday, Thomas decided that spoons were meant to stay stuck in his teeth. He found it very funny!
On Saturday, we went and stayed in a nice hotel. Here is the interesting wall art that was in our room
